Make it happen w Lizbonie!
Jeszcze do 5 lipca potrwa wymiana młodzieżowa "Make it happen!" w Lizbonie dotycząca wspierania społeczności lokalnych.
From 27th of June 'till 5th of July Associação Spin (Portugal) is hosting the international Youth Exchange 'Make it happen!'. It has gathered 25 young people between 18 and 30 years old, from 5 different countries and partner organizations: Kaebnai (Spain), Continuos Action (Estonia), Stowarzyszenie Promocji Wolontariatu (Poland) and Duroub (Israel).
The main topics are active citizenship, volunteering and community development.
This Youth Exchange intends to sensitize youngsters to the importance of voluntary work as an expression of active citizenship and solidarity. Through information sessions and implementation of voluntary actions in Bairro Padre Cruz in Lisbon - the biggest public housing project on the Iberian Peninsula and one of the biggest in Europe, we wish to promote the voluntary work spirit among the young participants, the knowledge of social problematic issues existing in that area of Lisbon and to create intercultural learning moments among the participants from several European countries and between them and the community of Carnide.
The participants' main activities include interventions in Bairro Padre Cruz (cleaning, painting, renovation, planting, etc.), study visits to local NGOs, preparation of an e-publication, an exhibition promoting voluntary service and more.
During this exchange, before and after photos of the several places will be made. These images will result in a photo exhibition held at the local Cultural Center, thus promoting local voluntary activities to all the local population.
